Morse code timing

A dot is one unit, a dash is three units, the gap inside a letter is one unit, between letters three units and between words seven units. We use the standard PARIS timing, so 10 WPM means a unit of 120 ms.

Frequently asked questions

Can my phone's camera flash blink the message?

On most Android phones in Chrome, yes. Tick "Also use my phone's LED flash". iPhones do not allow websites to control the flash, so the screen is used instead.

This mode flashes quickly. Flashing lights can trigger seizures in people with photosensitive epilepsy. Do not use it if you or anyone nearby may be sensitive, and never point it at drivers or pilots.
